About Amy

My psychotherapy work centers around helping people break free from other’s expectations and in turn, live a life that feels more authentically theirs. I believe that beginning this work and allowing the time and space necessary for healing is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves and those we love.  My approach can be described as warm and collaborative.

I received my Master’s of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Loyola Marymount University. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), licensed by the state of New York, and a Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP), licensed by the state of Tennessee. I hold an Advanced Certificate of Mental Health Counseling from SUNY Brockport where I completed my clinical internship at the Rochester Center for Sexual Wellness. I’m Ample + RootED® trained in eating disorder recovery that’s rooted in body liberation. I’ve provided counseling in both school-based and private practice settings.

I am also a writer and creative. Creating allows space for play, trying things on, and expression of our internal worlds. All of which can be supportive in learning and living out our truths.
